Jikiden Reiki origins from Japan, birthplace of Reiki.
Jikiden means “directly passed down” because Jikiden Reiki courses are based on what Chiyoko Yamaguchi had learned directly from Dr. Chujiro Hayashi in 1938 and practiced throughout her life for over 65 years, which is the purpose of reiki, without modifications and maintaining the original teaching.
Jikiden Reiki offers the essence of Dr. Hayashi’s teachings, which might have been lost in the teachings of Reiki spread in the West. Chiyoko Yamaguchi was one of the last students of Hayashi.
We hope you will join us and touch the authenticity of Reiki.
The course details
The course curriculum is based on that of Dr. Hayashi’s seminar.
Jikiden Reiki consists of two practitioner levels and three master/teacher levels:
- Shoden (Reiki 1)
- Okuden (Reiki 2)
- Shihan-Kaku (assistant teacher, teaches Shoden)
- Shihan (teacher for Shoden & Okuden)
- Dai-Shihan (teacher who trains Shihan-Kaku)The only one in the world to “make” Dai-Shihan is Tadao Yamaguchi sensei, president of the Jikiden Reiki Kenkyukai. Arjava Petter sensei, vice president of the Jikiden Reiki Kenkyukai is the only one apart from Tadao sensei, who has permission to teach shihans.
